Thrills and Chills at Cinemuerte

October 26th marks the beginning of the Cinemuerte VII Horror Film Festival. Held at the Pacific Cinematheque, the festival bills itself as the West Coast's premiere blood and gut bonanza. Highlights this year include: Tom Drake, the writer of Terror Train, on a Canadian horror movie panel; Bloodshots 48 Hour Film Making Contest; and the intriguingly named Night of the Living Dorks, preceded by a short film called Teenage Bikini Vampire.
Fans of the cult-series Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be especially pleased-on October 28th there will also be a Buffy Sing-along to the musical episode Once More With Feeling, complete with plastic fangs and props. Prior to this screening, fans will watch the silent episode Hush.
The CineMuerte Horror Film Festival runs from October 26th to 31st at the Pacific Cinematheque. Tickets can be purchased at the door during the festival, or pre-sales are occurring on the CineMuerte website: www.CineMuerte.com
