So about a week ago I told you to go see this film by local duder Cory Adams. It is about a young keener who wants a Blair Stanley board because he is the sportsman of the year. His mom gives him his dad's old board, who it turns out was a skater himslef. Danny "Manhole" Spannos. Why manhole? Well he attempted a jump across a bottomless pit. Harvey sees Blair (Rick McCrank) in action and is dismayed by his unsportsmanlike conduct. When Blair chucks his board in the trash harvey seizes the moment and yoinks it. To save his career, Blair Stanley must sink to the 'spectacle' of attempting to jump the hole, the same hole which took the life of Danny Spannos. But he pussies out and runs away, ending in a surreal motorcycle shase scene. Meanwhile, our antagonist Harvey questions his choice in idols, and his choice in hobbies. He dramtaically tosses the board into the ocean in the final scene.

With such a innocent screen play, marvellous attention to detail, methodic pacing, quirky tunes by P:ano, the whole thing added up to a Wes Anderson-esque masterpiece of local filmaking. Well, the judges down in Utah saw it the same way and awarded Adams $1,000,000 to make his next film, which will probably lead off where the bike chase ended. Congratualtions Cory!
