I don't have too many events on my horizon for this weekend, but you should be at the World Urban Festival anyways. The visual arts component is compelling, featuring a cursive Coca-Cola styled logo that reads "Enjoy Coast Salish Territory", a wall of spare change signs collected from all over the city (above) and lots more other details. The performance bits seems amazing as well, and tonight there was a hip hop [party event on that was very insping and fun.

Also in honor of WUF3 this week, I'm re-posting 2 socially conscious exhibits:
1."Secret Gardens", rooftop garden photography at the . Photos by Alex Waterhouse-Hayward give away the green secrets of the city. Details after the jump.

"The Urbanarium Society, with the support of the City of Vancouver, presents these unusual and provocative images of private, semi-private and semi-public spaces. This exhibition seeks to pull back the veil of secrecy on at least twelve different gardens - to give you a glimpse of what exists up there, just out-of sight. It also gives you a glimpse of where such gardens began in our City and where they might go, seeking images that describe new and emerging secret gardens."
