Dorkbot Vancouver begins ..

Tonight at the Western Front, Vancouver joins the ranks of Mumbai, Sofia, Eindhoven, NYC and others with its first official dorkbot meeting . Started in 2000 as a forum for artists, designers, engineers, and students working in electronic arts, there are now dorkbot groups in 40+ cities around the world.

Dorkbot is an opportunity for people to preview their wierd and wonderful new media works, to get feedback, and to form new collaborations. Tonight's presenters are Daniel van Tiijn, Robin Oppenheimer, and Jeremy Thorp.
