This week in art, a weekly heads up on the Vancouver arts scene.

I've been waiting patiently for the sun to come out and the spring arts lineup to appear on gallery walls and the waiting has paid off! This weekend Vague Undertaking is happening in The Chapel, a funeral parlour- turned- gallery space at 304 Dunlevy Street (at Cordova) in Strathcona. This is where the DC/Vice Last Rites show was last year, if you checked that out and although I've not been there yet, it sounds like a great venue. The Ayden Gallery (formerly of Tinseltown mall) is moving to this venue, but they don't seem to be affiliated with this show, as far as I can tell.

Anyways, the opening is happening this weekend with a Friday night party and Saturday night open house, details after the jump.

The Friday night event on March 30th has 150 presale tickets available and gets you in to see Panurge, Bend Sinister and the Clips. And of course you get first dibs at looking at the art while you're in there. A great selection from the following artists:

Gabe Deerman, Adam Dodd, Wendy Dyk, Neal Everett Nolan, Chloe Gammon, Sally Hutcheon, Robert Mearns, Melissa Pavlovic, Evan Shandler, Ed Spence, Terra Varey, and Contexture Design Workshop.

On Saturday, the open house starts at 7 PM. If you can't make either of those, the art will be up until April 15th, but check with The Chapel for their hours before you head down there.
