Basco5's Last Show in Van for a While

Local street artist and kick ass illustrator, Basco5 "the Sauce" is having one last hurrah of an art show before he leaves for Europe next month. If you haven't heard the name, you've surely seen the cute characters wearing bunny suits and red underpants dotted around back alleys. Or maybe you saw the Northern Voice mascots? Or maybe it was from the Mentos commercial? The point I'm trying to make here is that this guy is a Vancouver institution and he's leaving town for a while. Better come check out this art show.

Whimsically titled The Land of Pink Cloud Happy Goodbye, the art show will be happening at Lark this Saturday night (June 2nd), from 8 - 11 PM.

The artist will be in attendance and all kinds of awesome stuff will be for sale. There's even going to be an after party at Soma too, but don't worry if you can't make it - stuff will be up and for sale at Lark long after Basco5 has left town - another 2 months afterwards.

thanks to Basco's art in the streets, the very cement gray Vancity has been getting some color and happiness. we need more people like this.

Thanks guys, that such a nice write up. I appriciated all your guy's love and support and look forward to Saturday for the art show, just finished setting up and it looks really good:)
