Skateboards Turn Wall Art

20070601_crooked.jpg

I was really excited when I saw this amazing wall art coming out of Vancouver featuring a close-up photograph of the bottom side of a broken skateboard.

Designed by Emily Carr Graduate, Roger Allen and available at his Etsy shop Crooked Walker, these images were made from actual skateboard decks the artist skated on and are an icon of aesthetics and reflect the highly influential street skating pioneers of the nineties.

Photographed with a high quality medium format camera and professionally scanned and colour corrected. the image is mounted onto a wood panel, some with the sides of the panel painted, some not. The panels are made out of paulownia wood, a readily renewable resource.

Hey! The bottom part of the "Accidental Gun Death" graphic is missing. Bless the World Industries of the early to mid 90s.
