CBC: Canadian Blogcasting Corporation?

I can't recall any strike where the workers wanted so badly to perform what they saw as a community service that they sought alternative ways to do so. During the garbage strike you didn't see burly men in makeshift uniforms going curb to curb in their pickup trucks secretly collecting your trash. During the transit strike you didn't see bus drivers slap a handwritten #3 Main sticker to their family car and hit the road. Not that I'm saying they should have. But it's remarkable to see the locked out CBCers plugging away. Or is that unplugging away? Anways... Go to cbc unlocked, cbc on the line and cbc unplugged to support them and to stay informed.
I'm sure every Canadian has a story or a memory attached to the voices of CBC. For me, they were the voices that welcomed me home from school. My parents were at work, and my mother left the radio on to deter burglars. If they weren't deterred, at least they'd be cultured! The opening theme to As It Happens, annoying as it was at the time, always takes me back. The little alert as the news came on...come on.
The Can West Media monopoly has been itching to take down the CBC, don't give them ammo. In Vancouver alone, they own The Province, The Vancouver Sun, The National Post, Dose, part of Metro, Burnaby Now, New Westminister Record, The Now Community (Surrey, Langley Advance, Abbotsford Times, Chilliwack Times, Maple Ridge Times, Coquitlam Now, Richmond News, Delta Optimist, Vancouver Courier, North Shore News, Global TV, Canada.com, and CKNW. Is this what you want? A giant robot churning out "news" as approved by their corporate overlords? If not, keep an eye on the megalith here. And keep CBC strong: Write you MP.
