Last time Rowan and I met up we talked about this and I'm sure he's as ecstatic as I am that the city is planning on increasing the numbers of the recycling racks.

If you've noticed, the latest generation of Vancouver trash cans have these racks hanging off their opening. They're basically cup holders and they're there so you can put your empty pop can, juice box, water bottle, two-sixer or Campbell's soup in it.

Your recyclable receptacle will sit pretty until it gets collected by someone and recycled. This is so choice because it makes the very sticky job of scoring empties less sticky and it ensures that every single recyclable container makes it to the depot instead of the landfill.

Rowan thought about making a homemade version and just sticking them on the rackless trashcans but I guess the city beat him to it. Please use them!

"I guess the city beat him to it."

Curses, foiled again! Skip town for a week and you miss everything. Still, I suspect I've got plenty of time to further my insidious bench-armrest-neutralization plans. Or have I said too much?
