Make Some Noise for the Grey Cup

So I guess Vancouver is hosting the Grey Cup. I'm not sure if Vancouver hosts it every year or if it is because the BC Lions are in the finals... I don't really care either.
So why am I writing this? Because I love noise and on Saturday, November 26 at 11.15 there's going to be lots of it but briefly. Four CF-18 jets are going to kick off the 2005 Grey Cup Parade by flying above the city, using Georgia Street as its trajectory. That's super cool!
I'm not the type to sleep in but if I were I'd make the effort to get out of bed and dressed in time for the sonic boom. Maybe you'd like to consider setting your alarm clock
The jets will also be the starting of the Grey Cup Parade so make sure you look where your park on Friday night if you're around Seymour, Georgia, Cambie or Pacific and plan on doing an all-nighter.
And that brings me to another little observation. Don't party all night and then decide to walk yourself home because between the parents and the kids and the cops and, probably, loud fans with garishly painted faces, you'll probably feel like Lou Reed in the song Sunday Morning.

that's really funny. the other day a woman with a microphone stopped me on the street and asked me what I was doing for grey cup, and I said, "nothing!" and then she asked why and I said, "because I hate football!". I don't think she was very impressed...
