Anyone who is a sympathetic human being will not vote for the reformatories, and well, I'm assuming that I'm preaching to the converted and not the conservative. I assume you all care about arts and culture, aboriginals, the environment, health care for all (not just the elite), working people, single mothers, immigrants (because we all are) gays and lesbians, NAFTA, minorities, a woman's right to choose, soveriegnty (from the US), and peace. But one should never assume, that makes an ASS out of U and ME, and I'm fine with being an ass, I've made a career out of it, its you I'm worried about. So, what to do? Strategic voting? Perhaps. Although I hate the idea with a passion. But until there is some electoral reform, then it mught just be the only option.

For example, why the hell do Quebec and Ontario decide the election before we even see the results? Total bullshit. It should be one person/one vote. And why do rural communities get more votes per capita than cities? It should be proportional.

I don't really know what to tell you other than vote with your heart, but to be a lame ass, I found the Straight Slate to be the closest to my personal views. I thought they would have picked more Liberals, you know, strategically. For example, Don Bell in North Van, a typicall conservative riding. Or Joyce Murray over Con-man Paul Forseth, but as they explain, "Murray voted for many of (Gordon) Campbell's most troubling pieces of legislation and presided over major cuts to her ministry." I thought maybe that since Stephen Owen is a sure thing they would go for Green Candidate and former Work Less Party candidate Ben West in Vancouver-Quadra, or even independent logging activist, 80 year old Betty Krawczy who was jailed for protesting clear cuts. But Askew seems like a rad dude.

If however, you'd rather vote based on your ideals (ha!) but don't know which party represents those ideal, take this test.
