It was sunny in Winnipeg!
Well, I am back in town after a long trek across the country, or at least all the way to Toronto. And, even sitting here at my kitchen table watching the rain pour down onto the parking lot that is the view from my apartment , I am glad to be back. But enough about that. I have columns to make up. I have free activities to write about.
My recommendation this week for some free fun is to blow dry your hair all perfectly straight and shiny, making sure to get the ends right, smooth it out with some pomade, put on some nice digs and then waltz outside into the rain and witness all your efforts destroyed in one, big rainy swoop. Oh wait, I tried that for you, it wasn't actually that fun. Let's see what else can I offer? You can sit and ponder the state of our ferries. You can debate whether it is safer to take air transit or to step foot onto our floating flotsam. I am still on side with ferries, water is always safer than hurtling through the ozone.
Okay, on a more fun note, the blossoms and the spring bulbs are now prancing around in all their glory at Queen E. park. You could join them. However if you don't feel like getting wet you could go to your local library and rent videos or dvds for the cost of your library card (which, if you are like me and have incurred many late fees, could be a little pricey, however for the more responsible set it's free).
Alright that's my two cents for this week. I can't waste all my good ideas at once.

Silly, you're supposed to tell everyone to go to the pillowfight! Not only is it free, but surely some cute boy or girl will take you out for coffee afterwards!
