Here's just the post equinox Saturday night party we've been waiting for. The folks at Pedal Play are opening a non-retail
bicycle education and recycling space. It's a place to make crappy old junker bikes into styley, hip and efficient bikes, (un)affectionately named The Depot. And in classic Pedal Play fashion, they will throw a humdinger of a soiree to christen the space with some sweat and alcohol. Somehow or another, parties where people arrive on two wheels are pretty consistently hilarious. If the bike stunts and fixie bike tricks don't turn your crank, then surely you'll be entertained by a full line up of djs and also by the lovely dancers. Yup, the world premiere performance by the B:C:clettes, Vancouver's own all girl dance troupe will take ths stage and lube up the drivetrain. They will also be joined by the Sprockettes, another dancing gang of sexy bike geeks, making the trek all the way from Portland (pictured above).

Tix are sliding scale from $5 - $20, so if you have to be a cheapskate, at least buy a beer for your friend who you haven't paid much attention to lately.

The party is at 194 West 3rd, back alley entrance. Watch out for sprinting fixies when you get close enough to hear the beats.
