Hey, it's AfricaDey!

If you're like me and missed the Latin Summer Fest this summer, it's ok because we're just in time for AfricaDey! Presented by the African Heritage Society, AfricaDey is happening Septemer 2nd - 3rd (ie - this weekend) at the at the Queensborough Community Centre, (920 Ewen Ave.) in New West. A little farther out of the city than we like to venture, I know, but I'm betting it'll be worth it.

The festival will combine music, poetry and dancing, not to mention a vendors' market, a beer garden and lots of cool people milling about. Check out the program of events. Admission is free during the day and tickets for evening concerts are available at Ticketmaster and various African outlets about town.
