Presuming that you haven't heard it anywhere else, then you heard it here first, folks! A real-life partay on our favorite driverless local mass transit system. Creators of public art, NewMindSpace, are creating their first Vancouver "art" piece, a robot-themed party slated to be held on our very own Skytrain!

According to their write up, the party will be over the top, with a 500 watt sound system, superb decorations and sexy metallic costumes. You'll have to bring your own though, i assume. I don't know how they're gonna coordinate superb decorations and still coordinate with the pick up point, but hell who cares about decorations or an over-lit party space, when you're bustin' out on the freakin' skytrain, man! I mean really. Any of you jerks who say that there's nothing going on in town can bite some streamers over this one. A free costume party in a moving public space is the kind of stuff that you can always keep in your back pocket to change a lull in the conversation to a raucous chorus of "Tell me more! Tell me more!"

Do note that the 9:09pm party will be smoke free, since it is on public transit, and you'd really be annoyed to get a fine. Also, the nature of a public art piece is that it be appropriate for all ages. But hey, don't you know you can party harder straight? Any one who cares to doubt that, obviously wasn't at the pillow fight in March.

Anyhow. To find out when and where to catch the party, stay tuned at the NewMindSpace website where the goods'll be announced sooner or later.

In the meantime, start wrapping up some cardboard boxes in foil, to get your costume started!
