Velomutations: Crrraaazy Bike Party

Last year I cried for weeks at having missed this party where The Sprockettes (sexed out troupe of bike dancers, all the way from Portland) woo'd and titillated all with their two-wheeled gyrations. Where bike enthusiasts came out in pelotons to shake their firm and toned asses. Where BMXers rode the ramp all night except when some drunk on a fixie was toppling over on it.

Well that was then, and this year looks to be kinda the same but kinda way better. Because in addition to the Sprockettes, we've got our own local bike babes, the B:C:Clettes who really put the drive in a drive train. And if that seems like a girly overload then fret not 'cause we've also got The Brakes to counterbalance everything: they're a boylesque trio guaranteed to make your saddle moist.

What else do you want? The place is gonna be jammed with conscious-minded art-aware bike punks and everyone else who knows about the bestest way to cruise Vancouver. There'll be DJs, dancing and probably a few people making out in the corners.

In my books, this scene is about as good as Vancouver gets.
