112206_budget.jpgA healthy democratic government listens to people's concerns. Sam Sullivan is rying hard not too. After arresting protesters at a budget consultation meeting, the city is now fast tracking the process. You now have only 2 days to register your opinion on what the city should spend money on. "From providing more daycare to expanding library hours, from building more affordable housing to creating sustainable legacies like green buildings, important choices will be made by your city council in the next year. Residents need to make sure their voices are heard over the special interests that too frequently dominate council business." These are the only meetings:
Wed., Nov. 22, City Hall, Council Chamber (3rd floor), 453 W. 12 Ave.
Thurs., Nov. 23, City Hall, Council Chamber (3rd floor), 453 W. 12 Ave.
Mon., Nov. 27, Kensington Community Centre, Seniors' Lounge, 5175 Dumfries St.
