Crossroad: Where are we now? Can you tell me the name of the karaoke place just west, and the cool new gallery just south?

It's Powell and Dunlevy, with Oppenheimer Park in the corner.

Karaoke...Saturday nights at Winkerbeans (I don't think this is what you mean, but its fun)
Stumped on the Gallery

You got the crossroad, Jason, but the two locations are still unnamed.

I've never heard of Winkerbeans, but judging by the name it must be fun.

p.s. Hey, anyone know of a karaoke place that has a rather current (and western) song list? The Arch had a pretty decent one, but haven't found anything similar since.

The Arch was by far the best. I was rocking out to some Korean Karaoke (i don't speak korean, but I was still great) when a Transvestite and a Dude in a Rubber Deer Mask walked into our room and started making out on one of the couches. Fun times.

My guess is The Chapel for the gallery, and Hoko Karaoke Bar :-)

I agree with the above post - which puts us at the corner of Powell and Dunlevy

isn't hoko amazing?

You got it, popkitten.

Hoko's is fun as long as you can keep caterwaulers from monopolizing the mic. And agedashi tofu makes a great late-night snack for drunkards--who knew?
