Hair Show! November 25th, 2006!

Most people in Vancouver were probably entirely in the dark about what a hair show even was before boobalicious Tyra Banks, orange-tinted Jay Manuel and America's Next Top Model. busted out the concept in one of their photo shoots in the currently airing cycle 7.

Let's face it. This city doesn't really have a lot of (how to put this lightly?) soul.

What we are going to have, however, is a hair show!

Dubbed "Hairball", this Saturday night, Ayden Galley is taking over Granville Island's Backstage Lounge to host the event, which is set to feature hair by Helmut, Luscious Salon and Propaganda, a fashion show with Haras Clothing, elika designs and Dru Designs, and music from djs Wood n Soo, Vinnie the Squid and 3DLeigh, among others.

But who cares about all that? I wanna see the HAIR.

"Don't forget to Bring your wig!" screams the press release. (And yes, they capitalized the word bring. Not sure why.) I seriously doubt this is going to be a big time Hair Wars type event, alas, but it will still be interesting to see what goes down. Plus, I have wigs leftover from Halloween and busting them out again seems smart. Like recycling.

Tickets are available in advance at Ayden Gallery or at the door of the venue on the night of the event.
