The Yellow Brick Road to Sample Sales

Jackets and t-shirts and undies, oh my! Nothing beats a sample sale, which is why I signed up for the "I Love Sample Sales" mailing list just as any smart Vancouverite should. Businesses submit sale information and the details are then mailed out to everyone on the list. My best advice is to arrive at the sale early because there's a whole lotta ladies signed up for this free service, and there are two sales to watch out for this Friday and Saturday.

This week Tension is having a sale including items from T by Tension (love The Club Vest with its mandarin collar and curvy neckline), Sweet Chemise with their day and party dresses, and Coy Cat's draped and gathered shirts. They promise to have all sizes available, so if you normally avoid samples because the garments are too small, no need to turn away from this particular sale.

Loretta Black Fashion is also hosting a sale this weekend, boasting a slightly wider brand range than the Tension sale. If you're looking to add some sophisticated pieces to your wardrobe, don't miss the Nicole Miller rack - keep your eyes peeled for complex prints and earth-toned hues within her collection, pictured here. You'll also find Honeydew Intimates and their charming laced boy-shorts and matching camisoles, Smashing Grandpa rock couture, and flirtatious pieces by Muchacha. I would expect to find a wide range of sizes here as well.
