022607_fapped.jpgOh man, its Monday night and I am going to get so totally Fapped. I was going to sit at home and nerd out like the rest of you were going to, before I told you about tonight, which of course I haven't done yet, so...tonight we were going to sit around and blog and post myspace bulletins and upload photos onto Flickr, but instead we are going to go and get so fapped. And for free! No yoke. Great, so basically what I'm talking about is the NFB's new program Film Assistance Project, and a screening of some of the best of its recipients. It has nothing to do with masturbating. Please disregard that first link. The NFB won another Oscar last night for The Danish Poet so you best believe they know how to pick'em. Erm, so should I just meet you there or do you wanna grab a coffee beforehand? Cool. Okay. So its at Vancity Theatre. You know where that is right? Rad. See you at around 7:30.

The National Film Board of Canada's Pacific and Yukon Centre invites you to the first annual FAPPED*, an evening celebrating films made with the support of the NFB's Filmmaker's Assistance Program. The Filmmaker's Assistance Program has played an important role in the development of local emerging filmmaking talent, each year attracting a broad range of subjects and styles. The program on average provides assistance to over thirty films each year with many films going on to garner festival exposure, industry recognition and awards. Join us for an evening of great films and to learn about the NFB's Filmmaker's Assistance Program.

I think you think that "Fap(ped)" means something other than what it really means.
