Attention all Film makers, students and enthusiasts!
The Documentary Film Project that - hosted by VCN - is a perfect opportunity for young film students and enthusiasts to develop their skills, showcase their work and be part of something meaningful.

Shannon Ross, one of the Regional Coordinators, is planning on showcasing the 5 minute documentary at this year's BC Summit. The doumentary will be about the CAPprogram and how it benefits the community in the Lower Mainland.

VCN is an organization that provides free software and technical support to non-profit organizations all over the Lower Maindland, as a branch of the organization, ever year VCN get money from Indutry Canada to maintain the CAPYI program.

The documentary is centered around the CAPYI program, which is an internship program that hires youth (ages 15-30) to work at CAP sites (the non-profit organizations that VCN supports). The program is directed at youth who are going to be developing their skills, broadening their career opprtunities, and benefitting the community through the work the do at their CAP sites.

WE REALLY NEED HELP FROM INDIVIDUALS WHO KNOW HOW TO USE FILM SOFTWARE AND A CAMERA.

Anybody participating in this documentary will get full credit for any work they would do. This is a great opportunity, so hopefully anyone interested will take the chance to not only express their talents but also portray what youth do in the community in a passionate way.

Check out the Intern Blog to learn more about the program.

Please e-mail Shannon at capyi07@vcn.bc.ca if your interested in participating.
