Does anyone know what time it is? Photo time! That’s right, it’s Friday and we’re once again digging through the Beyond Robson Flickr pool to take a closer look at the brilliant photos taken by our readers. If you’d like to cash some portion of your 15 minutes of fame gets yourself a Flickr account and start submitting to the pool!

- Vancouver Celebration of Light 2006 by nonstopdesign
- Snow all night from our apartment window by Skye P.N.
- magic hour by hessiebell
- I’m Still Standing by blackbyrd
Starting at the left we have an awesome image from last years celebration of light (and one of the better fireworks images I’ve seen in a long time) from nonstopdesign. Next, another great photo of the recent snow from Skye P.N. Then a fantastic image of the streetlights in Gastown from hessiebell, and last but not least there’s a great image of a rundown house in Surrey from blackbyrd.
All of these images are great for their own reasons and I invite you all to join me in applauding the photographers. Woo! As always I've sent a note to each of the photographers inviting them to share their thoughts/stories/inspirations behind the photos and hopefully they'll stop by.
And lastly, neither of last week’s bonus points were claimed and I haven’t told anyone what the answers are so they are still up for grabs. There is also one more reference in this post (and one more point up for grabs). Big prizes for the first person to reach, oh, lets say 100 points. Big prizes. Really.

Hey Matt, Thanks for your kind words about my fireworks photo. It's one of my favourites, but the more I look at it the more I see little flaws that I should have 'shopped out. But then I remember Henri Cartier-Bresson's words about the perfect moment and I realize that's what I got, or something like it, in this photo and there is no need to hide imperfections.
However, I am an advocate of digitally enhancing photos to acheive a look and that is what I did in this photo. I pumped up the contrast with a contrast mask and did an unsharp mask to hide some of the imperfections of digital. But if you look closely at the image you will see that it's slightly out of focus - unfortunately I didn't have my tripod with me that night - this shot is balanced on an uneven surface but even so, blah de blah blah. enough said, just enjoy all the photos - I really like Skye's photo, very moody!
