Photo Feature 24 April 2007

Good morning Vancouver and welcome to an amazing summer day. Well, OK, maybe not. Weather is fickle, what can I say?

Anyway, it's time again for your photo feature; the column where we take a few moments to shine the shiny spotlight of fame and glory at the best and brightest photos and photographers in the Beyond Robson Flickr group. Want a shot at being featured here on the front page? Then join the group and start submitting!

Today's theme is "Dance."

Photo Feature

1. Untitled by Arezu
1. dance! by lowlevelrebel

First Arezu brings us a lovely black and white of an older couple dancing together in the street, chosen because it's just too damn sweet. I mean, really, just look at how cute they are.

Second, a term which only indicates order and not in any way rank, lowlevelrebel supplies us with an amazing shot of a woman dancing on concrete steps. Brilliant movement in this shot made it worthy of featuring.

As per usual I'm sending a love letter quick note to the photographers inviting them to drop by and share their stories/thoughts/inspirations/etc behind the photos, but for now let's all applaud their fine work!

Thanks Matt, I feel special :)

This was a really cute moment - after the Sun Run, one of the bands kept playing to keep the volunteers entertained while they cleaned up. This couple was walking by with a group at the time. They ditched their friends and danced in delight until the band stopped playing.

hey matt - thanks! i'm also one of the random (very random lately given my schedule) contributors here. :D

This was taken on friday nite at mobile clubbing, altho i have to say, i was surprised you chose this and not the breakdancer, whom i discovered on the ice rink/dance floor below the art gallery that same night. goes to show that photos are subjective, eh? ;)

oh, also, lowlevelrebel is a call back to an odds song. "and when you think I'm sucking up
I sort of am
the little lies that make you feel good
I say more often than I should
'cause I'm a low level rebel
I jaywalk to beat the devil
I'm no bass but lots of treble"
make you mad. ;)
