Good afternoon ladles and jellyspoons, and welcome to the Tuesday Photo Feature. I'm sorry it's late. Today I got up at the crack of eleven and the first thing I thought was "I have to fulfil my journalistic duty." Then I went to the beach.
First and last time. I promise. Ish.
Also, a quick note to say that the current Zipcar sponsored Transit photo contest is now closed for submissions. Look for a winners announcement soon!

On the left today is grater by brilliant girl. It's a scene I'm sure we're all familiar with, people heading for the train as it pulls in. The action in this shot, the train moving and the person speeding up to catch it, are brilliantly captured as the photographers handle suggests.
On the right we have downtown by petenator. The smooth water and mirror reflections of this ten second exposure are fantastic. Plus the colours and the overall tone, as well as the detail (which looks great at full size) make this one feature worthy.
Just like always I'm sending a note to each of the photographers letting them know the shiny spotlight of fame and glory is shining their way, and to invite them by to share any thoughts/stories/inspirations behind their photos.
For now though, let's all applaud their work and talent. Woo!

Thank you for featuring my photo.
I have a few dozen photos of the trains coming into various stations, but never really liked how they turned out. It wasn't until I thought of the station instead of the train as being the centre of the photo that I finally has something I liked.
I actually set out to shoot something specifically for the Transit photo contest, but forgot to tag the photo accordingly. Next time I'll be sure to tag my photos properly.
