Photo Feature 6 July 2007: Flowers!

Good day to you dear readers and welcome to another episode of your photo feature, the semi-weekly column where we shine the shiny spotlight of fame and glory on some of the best photographers in our fair city.

Are you one of the best photographers in our fair city? You too can be featured here. All you have to do is join the Beyond Robson Flickr group and start submitting photos. It's just that easy.

Today's theme is flowers. I chose this theme for two reasons: I like flowers, and Vancouver is full of 'em. No, really, take a look around one day. There are flowers everywhere here. Now, on to the photos; details after the jump.

On today's left is "Buzzzz" by sp_clarke, a fantastic capture of a bumblebee doing it's thing on a cluster of flowers I feel I should be able to identify but cannot. I enjoy the colours and depth of field in this shot, as well as the tack sharp focus on the bee itself.

But seriously, does anyone know what kind of flowers those are?

On the right is an untitled shot from Johnny Foto of some Chinese Lanterns against a green background. The colour contrast here is Amazing! The green really brings out the various shades of orange. The composition and focus is also quite good.

I'm now letting the photographers that their names are up in lights and hopefully they'll stop by and offer their thoughts, but for now everyone put your hands together for each of them. Woo!

Hi

I can't be bothered with anything these days, but shrug. I just don't have anything to say recently.

Bye
