The Taste of Health vegetarian fair returns to Vancouver this Saturday and Sunday (Oct 1, 2) at the Croatian Cultural Centre. Vancouver's biggest veggie event of the year will consist of lots of booths serving up innumerable tasty and unheard of veggie treats, manic motivational speakers, and maybe even an animal rights activist or two. But really, food is the focus people. Anyone who thinks tofu is boring or bland will certainly be schooled at this event. Originating as a vegan event, it has grown to accommodate people of a more soft-core veggie attitude, of people who just dig their tempeh or arugula or whathaveyou.
Ticket prices are $7, free for Earthsave members and kiddies. Will it be worth it? Hmm, let's see. Food. Vegetables. Tasty food demos. Sexy granola kids. A vegan fitness team. Meat substitutes that would fool Ronald McD. Sexy enviro kids. Sensual sweets. Tofu. Tofu. Tofu. Uh, what was the question? I got kinda derailed when someone mentioned tofu.
Note: I don't really know what the hell's gonna be there. But I know it's gonna be killer.
