Iron Brunch

For anyone who watches the "Iron Chef" on the Food Network, (and who doesn't) you can't deny there was a tingle of pride in your chest when you heard Rob Feenie beat Masuharu Morimoto to take the title.
Well, you may not have had the chance to dine at Lumiere and sample Feenie's world-class fare. But you've probably had the chance to dine at its younger, and more relaxed brother next door, aptly named 'Feenie's'. And so you know that that the food there is great, if not generously portioned. But have you had brunch there?
The Feenie's brunch is a wonderful, indulgent treat. It's a good place to take yourself for your birthday, you can order the breakfast poutine (it's your birthday after all) and wash it down with a freshly squeezed Mimosa. Or maybe you have more of a sweet tooth, the souffleed apple pancakes, with warmed cinnamon maple syrup (real maple syrup), are delicious, they are more souffle than pancake, and have all the makings of comfort food: fluffy, gooey pastry like stuff. Maybe you are more of a traditionalist; there is the 'Feenie's family breakfast'. You get the standard two eggs, with ham, bacon, and sausage (no need pick between here). And of course it comes with roast potatoes and toast. Enjoy the breakfast with the 'smoothie of the week'.
Well, I'm salivating. I'm going to have to get off my rump, shut down this computer and make myself some food. So, good bye and happy eating.
