A staff member at the Foundation Eatery Lounge was diagnosed with Hepatitis A. If you were a customer on January 7th, 8th, 9th, or 14th of this year you are strongly encouraged to get a vaccination shot. The virus could have been transmitted by "humus, sandwiches or raw vegetables".
The employee has taken a sick leave, and consequently there is no risk whatsoever in continuing to eat at the restaurant.

My name is Amy...I am one of the owners of the Foundation Restaurant. I am torturing myself by googling this event...trying to be positive about the effects. I live upstairs, I eat there constantly, We have a new baby...this has affected us too. Fortunately we live in a society where health is important, and the public is not only informed but offered a free remedy within hours of his diagnosis. Understandably It gets a bad reaction but we hope you will take the time to educate yourselves before deciding what type of restaurant we operate. The virus was not contracted from inside the restaurant and it very difficult to transmit. The measures taken were precautionary. It could happen to anyone. We apologize many times over for all the anxiety and inconvenience this has caused. This is our livelyhood...our passion....our dream...we are just a small family working hard to bring quality and joy to our community....thank you to all of our supporters....everything is going to be alright.
