The Quest For the Perfect Pub

082706_sixacres.jpgI'm not much of a drinker, actually I'm a recovering alcoholic, which is why it may seem odd that I'm telling you about this Tyee article on Vancouver watering holes. But that is just how dedicated I am to you, dear Beyond Robson readers. I'd say my favourite pub is the Dover Arms on Denman. It is just a block from my apartment and its great. My family is from Northern Ireland so its nice to get a slice of good ole Canadiana. If I did drink however, I would go sample the amazing international selection of beers at Six Acres, formerly Moonshine. In another absurd twist of our liquor license woes, they were forced to change their name because it promoted drinking. Yet, bars can plaster their windows with Budweiser banners?

it's rad how you felt the need to post the exact same thing here and on the tyee. especially since this is hypocrisy you want to tell the world about happened months ago and everyone had already forgotten about it.

in closing, please don't stop riding the tyee's jock. it's great they have their own cheerleader.
