The Kind of PMS Everyone Can Handle

Although PMS prides itself on the facials, I thought that this would be just a little too easy. Women do facials at home all the time, and the mess is minimal. A pedicure would be a little more of a challenge to pull off at home, since water and nail polish can make for easy accidents...
The good news is that the pedicure itself was great. My esthetician was a super-sweet girl from Indonesia, who I talked to about everything from Russian documentaries to surfing in Bali. The whole service was done quite professionally, and I liked that set-up and clean-up only took about ten minutes. There are things, though, that are going to be lacking for those who are looking for a full spa experience from the $50 pedicure. For example, the foot bath is just a tub with warm water - no bubbles and no massaging rolly-thingies that I'm used to. Also, there were only six standard nail polish shades to choose from - although that can be great because making up your mind is easier, I kind of enjoy the process of looking through a gazillion colors.
So my verdict is that, although PMS had great service, I don't know whether I'm ready to give up all the frou-frou-ness of the spa experience, even if I can stay lethargic at home. I would go back to their Pink Nail Spa location, but keep PMS in mind for parties and bridal showers. Which is okay, since I think that that's what the service is probably geared towards anyways. They have a whole range of packages, and they bring food along if you can't be bothered. That's the story, folks. If you're looking to be pampered at home (or even at work!), you know who to call.
