Judge Jules at Richards - Dec. 30th, 2005

Are you still floundering about in your turkey and eggnog torpor and haven't yet planned to crash any house parties on NYE? I'm here to wish you good luck and tip my champagne glass to you. You're on your own. I do, however, have a nice diversion of the dancing variety for this Friday night. The guys at PH1/Vivid and Richards are throwing a pre-pre New Year's party with a little help from Brit trance wizard, Judge Jules, backed up by local heroes, Danny Taylor and Julian Chow.

Apparently Mr. Judge Jules has not worked the decks in Vancouver for a good 5 years, so this is a great chance for neophytes like myself to evaluate his mixing chops. His date this Friday comes mere days after an appearance at the Platinum Nightclub in Australia. Jules will then make his way across the border to ring in the new year at the LA Sports Arena. Well then: I guess some of us DJ superstars would rather whoop it up in Los Angeles for 2006 instead of Vancouver. No, I don't feel jilted...

On a side note, if you do plan on checking things out at Richards, go earlier and catch Julian's set. I saw this cat spin very briefly on Christmas Eve at the Red Room and he was sorely missed when he stepped off the stage.
