Oh my god. I can't believe I haven't posted on this yet. Jeez, I even have a profile. Musicpeople happens every Saturday at the Bayside Lounge. You know the place, all 80s interior above Starbucks at Davie and Denman. Anyways, this ain't no club night with whack djs flexin yo. This is music for music lovers. The concept is genious. Jonathan Nodrick had decided he heard enough of his friends' record collections to realise that just because they don't have the DJ moniker, and might not be able to mix beats, they still deserve to play music. If that means plugging an iPod in and pressing play then so be it. That's what I do. I've DJed a couple of times and its just laid back and fun. Its like a box of chocolates, only less cliche. But you still never know what your gonna get.
If you've ever seen It's All gone Pete Tong, and giggled at the enourmous egos of the DJ world, then Musicpeople is for you. You are the DJ, not some international superstar named Franky Knuckles. Unless of course your name happens to be Franky Knuckles and you are an interior designer.
There is no cover. And I don't know if the drinks are cheap because I don't drink. So...
