This weekend will be one of mourning - this is the first weekend, since their beginning, that Tight will not be throwing a party. Unfortunately, the best afterhours Vancouver's seen had to finish its run last weekend. I am so fucking sad.
I am biased because it is my type of music but anyone, regardless of their genre of choice, will tell you that Tight parties were like no other afterhours in Vancouver - the clientele was so friendly and unsketchy, the bouncers did not give attitude, the rest of the staff actually smiled and made conversation with you, the toilets worked all night and if there was no soap chances were that you'd find hand sanitizer instead. You could smoke, there never once was any violence, the men to women ratio was almost even and the DJs played as long as there were people there to listen to them.
The organizers are looking for a new space so if you know of any please email me
