Who Steals Records?

Seriously, who steals records? Because no matter what kind of music you're into chances are really REALLY good that the records you plan on stealing aren't going to be your style... Jus face it, only you like and a handful of rotten thieves like your sub-sub-genre of garbage. And if you don't belive me do us all a favour and take a portable record player with you next time you plan on scoring a crate and a half of vinyl, that way you can decide there and then if the pleasure those records will bring you will be greater than the pain you bring this DJ.
Poor Siavash. As per his post on Clubvibes:
"I've had my records, headphones, & other DJ gear stolen from my truck about a month and a half ago... It was a tremendous blow considering the amount of priceless classic electronic records I had in the crate. I decided, despite the incredibly horrifying event, to pick up the pieces & move on. After loosing my top tunes of the last 15 years collecting records, I managed to rebuild & recover. Knowing I still had a few left over classics back @ home, I built up a new collection, made extra CDRs, & managed a new pair of headphones... But here comes the topper kids!!! Just about a month later, IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!! Last weekend the remaining classics, my encyclopedia of electronica on CDRs, and my headphones got jacked from the trunk of my moms Ford Festiva!!! As if loosing your heart & soul once & driving your moms turquoise Festiva is not bad enough, I had to go on to loose the last remaining drops of my youth. I considered retirement & told my close friends that it would be the last of Siavash as a DJ in Vancouver. After the loss of 3 pairs of high end headphones, 4 pairs of Ortofon needles, 200 CDs of rare, unreleased, & exclusive tracks, & 250 priceless un-replaceable, records that have carried me through the last decade, the days seemed numbered for me. It took me many nights of crying & regrouping, talks with disbelieved friends & kind words of encouragement from supporters, for me to decided to continue this never ending struggle we call the Life of a DJ..."
And this is Siavash, ok? If you knew him (and I barely do) you'd be so stoked that he lived in Vancouver and likes to share. And you don't have to totally agree with his musical taste (and I don't) because he's all over the place and I've never EVER seen a DJ categorize his/her wares so meticulously. But the big thing (or as he says, the "topper") is the fact that he loves his music so fucking much. It's not an exaggeration when he describes his collection as his "heart & soul." Just look at the picture I've posted of him - you can't get more into the music than that. Just look at that face, that stance... you know he doesn't care who's watching. He just fucking LOVES it.
It's like there's an anti-DJ rampage going on right now. Damn you, you haters, damn you!

When we were having our then famous monthly parties in Whistler, we had a theft of records every party. We could never figure out who was doing it. Who wants the bad karma of playing stolen records? Let's be honest though, we were young and not exactly seeing everything with a clear mind at the time.
