Luke Doucet Has Good Teeth

Luke Doucet has fabulous teeth. They are gleaming white and aligned with military precision. He claims this is simply the result of good prairie genetics. I, for one, am little suspicious however. Perfect teeth and mad musical skills? I just don't want to believe in a God that is so biased.

Luke, who has finished touring with Sarah Maclaughlin, and who has moved on from fronting his band Veal, is now solo and playing at the Vancouver Cultural Center on a bill with Ridley Bent, April 13th. His music is a blend of folk, rock and blues. He uses a slide guitar on a number tracks, but mostly it's acoustic guitar and his strong voice.

Besides having great teeth and sumptuous skills he has a beautiful and talented wife, Melissa McClelland, who is opening up for Mathew Good at the Cultch on April 20th, 21st and 22nd. Luke also produced both her cds.
