Dance Therapy: Kyle Nordman & Julian Chow Back Again

A while back I introduced a new monthly going down at Gorg-O-Mish, featuring the talents of local duo, Kyle Nordman and Julian Chow. If you travel back in time even further, say around November, you may also recall Ariadna's scathing assessment of the downtown's biggest afterhours venue.

Lousy DJs? Penis parade? Extreme steroid use? Ariadna didn't pull any punches, calling out Gorg-O-Mish on the things that needed drastic improvement. Her article can be reviewed here.

Well I was fortunate enough to write an in-depth interview of DJ Julian for a local rag so I've been in touch with him recently. His night with Kyle Nordman, The Showdown, is still going strong and he's tried to stress at how the scene and management at Gorg-O-Mish has been steadily improving. Getting rid of the sketchyness and adding the flavour back, bit by bit, whatever the hell that is supposed to mean...

Insomniac partygoers have an opportunity this Friday to see if this is in fact reality or if Julian was blowing smoke up me bum. Maybe Ariadna would like to pay them a visit so I can live vicariously through her? Alas, I still don't have the dancing stamina I used to... and, I'll be checking out another show that night which I am quite excited about. More on that very soon...
