John Darnielle and Peter Hughes (aka Diskothi-Q) bring the alt-country love-in to Richard's on Richards, along with special guests Cloudsplitter who are something of a local super-group with Dave Gowans (Buttless Chaps), Ida Nilsen (Great Aunt Ida), and Jesse Zubot (Zubot & Dawson).

Update: it has been pointed out that "alt-country" may not be entirely fair as a label. To put it in context, I was living in Edmonton at the time and listening to a lot of Mountain Goats as well as Jayhawks, Wilco, and Maybellines. All of these bands together represent "alt-country" to me. That's not a bad thing.
