On July 7 Fridays at Celebrities gave the friendly-house sound the boot and started getting felt up by electro. Whose idea was this and can I please give you a blowjob?

Go! has gone and taken their low-grade sexy house with them. Taking over are the not-so inconsequential Timeline and his trusty sidekick whom I nothing about, March21. Tonight they've got some German kid called
Chopstick (Criminal Records) who happens to be in western Canada and Male Model Machine. On August 4th Diplo touches down and on the 11th is the grand opening with Jojo De Freq, one of the residents from the infamous NagNagNag night in London (the single most important electro night in the world). And, drum roll please... Miss Kittin (that's Kittin with an 'i' kids) on September 22.

I'm ready to give this new Friday night my seal of approval even though I haven't been to it and I've never been particularly keen on Timeline's brand of electro (except this one time at a Get Together party he played this insane tag-team set that had me delirious). I'll get back to you soon with a review but if you're unsure of what to do tonight I think I've just solved your problem.

Check out a Chopstick mix from May. It's on the mellow and minimal side of things but I'm only twenty minutes in.

Celebrities is located at 1022 Davie (at Burrard)
Cover is $10

Arianda, you should know more about Jeremy Shaw - aka - March21.

He is the founder or CircleSquare - probably the most cutting edge avante garde music act in Vancouver.

If you haven't, you should keep an open mind.
