There's a lot of self-sacrifice that goes into being a DJ. The set-up is at least a couple thousand and a few years' worth of records can end up costing you the down payment on one of them W apartments. Between the day you lay down your first slice of black crack onto your very own deck until the day you are cashing in, chances are you will be poor and have little more than a couple of flyers and mix CDs (and maybe a punctured ear drum) to show for it.

I'm totally exaggerating but records do come at a premium and some indulgences will have to be shelved if you want to keep your crate in good shape. One of those indulgences might be a non-Happy Cuts haircut. Or perhaps a facial that you didn't buy from Shoppers. Or a wax done right.
