Tell me you missed me... tell me my absence was devastatingly evident on the dance floor...
The nightlife during our summers can get pretty boring unless you're a university student... seems like the promoters like to take off or, at least, take some time off and enjoy the scenery. Not so this year. During my absence a few new weekend parties have popped up to give Vancouver a nice selection of electronic... gone is Deepen but now we have Signal at the Lotus which looks like a lesser version of Believe except for the fact that their "quarterly residents" are Model Male Machine and Mathew Jonson - wow! Add Beat Boutique and DAMAGE and you've got one hell of a Saturday. Niche, Envy and Focus are all old hands but now there's Moody Fridays in the mix - it got started before I went south but whose grand opening is just ahead of us. And a plethora of outdoor parties for the kids that like to get dirty. Vamos!
