My Weekend!
Hello out there in "cyberspace" (That means The World Wide Web). Today is Monday August 28th. I've got a bad case of the Mondays! LOL! (That means Laugh Out Loud). I had a fun weekend, I just wish it never would be the end! But I guess all good things must come to the end. Anyways. On Friday I went to check out the Book of Lists at the Vancouver Art Gallery. But it seemed that there was more action downstairs at Robson Square where people were Ballroom Dancing! (If you click on the blue text it will transport you to a different website about Robson Square Ballroom Dancing).
Sorry about that. It seems as though I'm stuck in the 90s (when the internet was new). Not that the Book of Lists are especially 90s sounding or anything, although they do sound like the 90s-era Shoegaze of Ride and Felt, its just that the 90s seemed to be a recurring theme this weekend. Like afterwards I basically went to a rave at Prospect Point in Stanley Park thrown by The Party Army. There was even a whole bunch of people on E! Do people still do E? And although the music spanned the decades there was a noticeable emphasis on 90s gems like C&C Music Factory, NKOTB, Crystal Waters, Technotronic, Bel Biv Devoe, Notorious B.I.G., Ace of Base, and perennial party faves Bon Jovi (I didn't like them then I really don't like them now).
We took it to the max! Extreme!
The nineties theme continued at The Columbia, but that's not surprising because The Kids have been rocking that tip for a while now. Fanny packs, tucked in shirts, dress shoes, Reebok Pumps, Hypercolor shorts, B.U.M. Equipment sweaters, tight rolls, pajama pants, overalls, and that one dude with Hammer Pants.
I guess if i tried hard enough I could connect Ladyhawk to the nineties, like maybe via Weezer and Dinosaur Jr., but I'm sort of over it. I am not however, over Ladyhawk.
On Sunday I played Trivial Pursuit Nineties Edition all day long. By myself. Because I'm a nerd. Like Steve Erkel. Did I do that?
