Contest: Win The Russian Futurists' "Me, Myself and Rye"
Me, Myself and Rye is a compilation of the best songs from the first three albums by Toronto's The Russian Futurists. The Pitchfork-approved album is being released for the first time in Canada today, completely remastered and featuring bonus tracks.
On this one-man band's MySpace page, Matt Hart describes his sound as "Your dad on Ecstasy". I'd say it's something a bit more pleasant like "sunny Casio pop", whereas the thought of my sweaty dad grinding his teeth and liquid dancing would terrorize me to tears.
Beyond Robson is giving away one copy of Me, Myself and Rye every hour this afternoon. Here's how it works:
1. Your comment must include the title of any Russian Futurists song.
2. The first person to place a comment below wins a copy.
3. The person who places a comment at 1pm (or closest to 1pm, but not before) will win a copy. If more than one person places a comment at 1pm the prize will go to whoever's comment shows up first.
4. We'll then give three more copies away at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. (same rules as #2)
And please don't spam us with multiple entries. In fact, to be eligible, you can't have posted more than one entry within a one hour time frame. So, if you post an entry at 1:01pm and didn't win your next eligible entry isn't until 2:01pm. Good luck!
