Don't worry, it's here!
Friday, Apr 25
♦ Hardstock '08 @ Commodore: A benefit for Vancouver guitarist/producer Scott Harding featuring many of local musicians.
♦ Shelby Lynne @ Richards: Pop, jazz and folk fuse into one with California's Shelby Lynne
♦ Christian Hansen and The Autistics @ Hoko's: This Edmonton dance-pop group are joined by their Vancouver rivals equivalents, The Sessions. I went to elementary school with Martin from The Sessions and have had the pleasure of going to several of their shows—I'd recommend you check them out!
♦ Adaline @ Biltmore: Vancouver's Adaline is the Hush Sound meets Fiona Apple. Join her for her CD release party before she takes off for her first tour.
♦ Run Chico Run @ Backstage Lounge: Experimental and independent musicians from Victoria.
♦ Language-Arts @ Cafe Deux Soliels: More hip-hop meets indie-folk and classical guitars.
Saturday, Apr 26
♦ David Rudder @ Vogue Theatre: A proud Trinidadian who plays from the heart and knows how to have fun—David Rudder claims to be one of the top calypsonians of his generation.
♦ They Shoot Horses, Don't They? @ Astoria: They Shoot Horses, Don't They? go out with a bang at their final show!
♦ Like A Martyr @ Meida Club: These local alt-rockers play "rock'n'roll like a freight train." Haha...sorry.
Sunday, Apr 27
♦ David Karsten Daniels @ Media Club: Daniels plays indie-rock that's both emotional and fun-loving.
♦ Dan Zanes @ Chan Centre: This latin-singin', folk-rockin' New Yorker has won Grammy's for his work. He has even released children's music (that is more than a touch better than Raffi's).
♦ Sinfoni @ Waldorf: Michael Davies is a local composer who is highly experimental.
Monday, Apr 28
♦ Tiger Army @ Croation Cultural Centre: This band is psychobilly from LA.
♦ Peter Moren @ Media Club: Meet the Peter without Bjorn and John.
Tuesday, Apr 29
♦ Duran Duran @ GM Place: Yup, this 80's megagroup are back on tour.
♦ Sarah Slean @ The Cultch: Painter, photographer, philosopher and musician, this artist from Toronto is here promoting her newest album "The Baroness".

♦ Cut Copy @ Caprice (10pm): Looks like Cut Copy are gonna make a night of it!
♦ Honey and the Money @ Media Club: Leila Harrison and Matt Clarke split their time up between Vancouver and Calgary. They play pop that has teenage radio appeal.
Wednesday, Apr 30
♦ Queens of the Stone Age @ PNE: According to wiki, Queens of the Stone Age tend to write albums around a theme. The most common themes are sexuality, cannibalism, death, the desert, and Satanism.
♦ Goldfinger @ Commodore: LA punk.
♦ Bodies of Water @ Richard's: This California group will be joined by Sons and Daughters.
Thursday, May 1
♦ Dan Mangan @ Biltmore: It seems one of Vancouver's most promising indie-folk musicians is home from Oz. I learned today that he's a friend of a friend's brother. He'll play with James Lamb and The Liabilities and The Crackling.
♦ Laura Veirs @ St. James Hall: Earnest American folk.
♦ John Nemeth @ The Yale: Blues and R&B from yesteryear.
♦ Stefana Fratila @ Media Club: I'm intrigued to find out how this local synth-looping musician performs in a live setting.
