Morning Brew: November 26th

regarding the dog issue; It's a perfect example of Vancouver summed up in one issue. Everybody is trying so hard to relax and do their thing they can't tolerate anyone else infringing upon their right to do their own thing.

i had a dog in Vancouver for 8 years and never had a single incident (lived in west end, yaletown, east van, westside).

people need to shift attention to something more worthwhile....how about dealing with homelessness or the drug problem in the DEAS? no, that would be too ambitious. let's spend all our spare time arguing about whether or not i can take my dog off its leash.

Thanks for the breathtakingly myopic take on Berner's post and the "dicks" who shop at wallmart. While your smug,smirky observations are occasionally amusing, for the most part they perpetuate the white, middle class liberal type ignorance that make most of the left-leaning progressive thinking folks cringe.

HIS POINT, WHICH YOU MANGAED TO MISS ENTIRELY, IS THAT MANY CANADIANS LIKE TO SCREAM ABOUT HOW MANY AMERICANS ARE IN JAIL AND THEN DRAW THE MISTAKEN CONCLUSION THAT HARPER'S LAW INITIATIVES WILL RESULT IN A SIMILAR LARGE POPULATION IN CANADIAN PRISONS.
