Opposition creates board game that mocks NPA, Sullivan. I am sooooo getting one for Christmas.
Delta Mayor Lois Jackson has beaten back a challenge from Vancouver city Coun. Peter Ladner for leadership of Metro Vancouver. Ladner's bid to replace Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan as chairman of the powerful land-use and transportation group also failed. But the savvy Ladner isn't down yet, as he plans a sneaky coup d'etat to unseat the city's chief sanitation officer.
Ambassadors' are private cops. "The bid failed because, as a grant, it needed eight votes. The NPA only has six. But it exposed the steel fist in the velvet glove Mayor Sam Sullivan has been promoting as Project Civil City". For some reason that expression sounds kinda gay.
Let's stop pushing policies that turn women into drug-addicted chattel. "Most hookers, whether of the Downtown Eastside or four-star hotel vintage, are addicts of one kind or another. They make their so-called living by renting out their privates by the hour. You think there is something honourable about such a life"? No, we just don't think that they should die. You know, same with criminals in Canada. Because, you know, we aren't America. Or Saudi Arabia.
Former cop backs mandatory drug treatment. As a recovering alcoholic, I can say that my experience is that you can't force anyone into recovery, that way they think that by relapsing they are beating the system, when the only thing they are beating is themselves.
Meth not just criminal problem. God damn these big city academics with their so called 'studies'. What's that? The study was commissioned by the City of Chilliwack? Um...
The Canada Line uses trains manufactured in Korea. They go really well with our new German made ferries.
VPD still touting, toting Tasers. Yee haw.
Do you think there should be mandatory sentencing for the illegal possession of a handgun?
Was it a hobo spider bite? Oh man, now the homeless are being blames for spider bites?
"Congratulations Canada on Preserving Your National Igloo.".
Click on this e-Card to give to BC Children's Hospital. So I have a soft spot. Big deal.
