121807_mb.jpgLet's get straight to the point. We need more roundabouts. Whoa that came out of left field. You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown school.

TransLink to protect tunnels from terrorists. Awesome, so they hand pick a bunch of business elite to run Translink, raise fares, ignore public concern over the Gateway Project, shelve the Evergreen Line, arrest protesters at Eagle Ridge, one of whom died of pneumonia from her time in jail, raise fares, ignore the graded right of way down Arbutus and opt instead for gentrifiable
(did I just make up a word?) Cambie to run the RAV Line, lie to Cambie merchants about Cut and Cover then fail to compensate them for their losses, choose a company that makes bullets used in Iraq to make the RAV line, get their Skytrain incompatible trains for the RAV Line made in Korea, use foreign, non-union labour to build the tunnel under false creek, raise fares, fail to test out their new trolley buses in Vancouver-like weather, fail to test out their new trolley buses with bikes on them at night, rack up $154,000 in car expenses, cancel night buses, re-implement a neutred version of night buses, close the Skytrain before bars let out, raise fares despite a $386 Million surplus (17 million more than predicted), and overall provide crappy service with snappy (sometimes spitting) drivers. But its all right! Don't worry! We're safe from those evil, freedom hating terrorists! Hooray!

BC Ferries' newest addition already damaged. Are we still upset about the fast ferries?

Canadian Tire protests misguided. Yeah, democracy is annoying heh Peter? Sort of like when you weren't voted in as president or chair of the new Translink.

Evictions at The dominion. That guys face just says it all.

Victoria drunks stand up to 'the man'. If ever there was a time to taser somebody.

The Shaw House. If I keep saving up all the money I make on Beyond Robson I'll be able to afford this house never.

Locavore: word of the year. W00T!

Translink sent me a survey yesterday asking me about their public image and how to improve it. I should have just copied and pasted your rant in. Awesome job.

Exploited foreign labor: the price of progress. Seriously, though, good rant.

Thanks Narvey. Please don't sue me though, K? I really can't afford it.

Well done, Sean! You said it far better than I could have! Great points.

Agreed, Sean. I can't afford it, either. Damn those TransLink levies.
