Tonight's decision by City Council completes an historic year for social and supportive housing in Vancouver," said Mayor Sullivan. When am I going to get a ticket to this parallel Universe everyone's talking about? It sounds like so much fun. No but really, in all seriousness, did Sullivan hit his head really badly when he got in that skiing accident? Is it drugs? Throw me a frickin bone here.
Vanoc should be commended for a good job so far. Well, they do say that 'the pot is getting stronger...
Sam Sullivan has tenaciously, agonizingly pulled himself up from the despairing aftermath of a terrible accident to literally worldwide renown. But pot doesn't really explain the propensity to kiss ass.
Free transit? "Naomi Devine, a member of the premier's influential climate-action team, says she's encouraging the government to take measures that will make public transit "a viable first [transportation] option for people". Oh my god that's great! But wait, here is the big bad enviro-haters the NDP to shoot down the idea. Nope, it must be a parallel universe. (But then I guess if it wasn't the NDP it would've been every other member on the team that isn't a blatant public relations tool).
The Province dares protesters to get violent. All about looking good, they say. "Why don't we try that new Thai restaurant, catch the anti-Olympics sit-in and see if we can make the early Will Smith show," is what these trendies seem to be saying". Why don't we smash Jonh Martin's office to prove him wrong? No don't do that.
Ombudsman says not enough BCers are taking advantage of her. Oh my god, that can't be right.
Time to laugh and laugh and laugh at people from BC, yet again. "A new Ipsos Reid poll reveals that six-in-ten (61%) pet owners in British Columbia plan to buy (or have already bought) a present for one or more of their pets this holiday season". Laughing is one option. Or you could just go ahead and throw up. Either way.
Massive commercial power developments are being considered for existing and planned conservancy areas on the B.C. coast, raising the question, what the hell is the point of a conservancy in the first place?
Politics led to dismissal: fisheries critic. "Ex-biologist says Victoria intent on promoting gravel mining in river". I'd way rather have gravel than those boring old fish.
Authorities warning public to stay away from Royal Columbian. Don't go there if you don't have to. Because apparently its a rad place to hang out on a Wednesday night.
Apparently wearing fur just makes you look like a mean person. Aww man don't say that, now every mean person is going to go out and buy one.
Do we really have to give up our Ferraris? "Would a world without these beautifully-engineered Italian supercars really be a better place . . . or simply one with less pleasure in it? We strongly suspect the latter is the case". Aww man don't say that, now every small-dick with cash is going to want one.
Province takes on federal NDP, while 24 Hours takes on the Provincial NDP. Mmmm, right. And Harper and Campbell get a pass. That makes total sense.
Northern Voice registration is open. I can't wait to not sign up.

I'd be willing to bet that it's 6 out of 10 worldwide. Humans suck, Sean, and I like more dog more than most of the people I know. So of course he gets a gift for Christmas.
