011708_mb.jpg Uh oh, here it comes: Translink board meetings no longer open to public. Distract the masses with cash, lock the doors.

Would you support a vehicle levy to help pay for improved transit?. Guess how the bridge and tunnelers respond.

Breaking the rules in all the right ways. Yeah man, they've gone totally crazy and just thrown out partisan politics! Holy cow! Public transportation? Did Campbell take a holiday in Cuba?

Speaking of which: The Western Standard on the transit plan: "Knowing how these things work, I think that we can expect that the transit system will be completed by a garrison of People’s Liberation Army engineers just in time to inaugurate the Canada Two-Two-Five celebrations of their fraternal allies in Ottawa". Um, I'm pretty sure that most of the Canada Line workers were foreign labourers, and when they tried to form a union they were threatened. But yeah no, you're probably right. The communists are behind it.

VANOC asking hotels not to gouge visitors during Olympics. Just the people that live in hotels.

Market Forces and Provincial Legislation are Squeezing Seniors. But they're just so squeezable!

Forty km of fences for 2010. Officials say its just a coincidence the barrier runs along the same axis that divides the city into east and west.

BC ranks 5th in Canada for shelter bed availability. At least we're not as bad as Alberta. What's that? Alberta's first? We can haz oil?

Vancouver police want rest of Canada to take their criminals back, "but we'd also be all right if just the French Canadians went".

Police trying to determine if a child has gone missing. OK where did you last have it? Did you check in the firdge, because every time I lose my keys I find them in the fridge.

CBC needs your help to move to FM or something.

Maps of Vancouver. I love maps.
