Vancouver Blogger Smackdown day two. Hence the title of today's Morning Brew (there's only a little bit of porn, at the end).
Councillor draws parallel between Canada Line, 9/11. I really don't think I can make this any funnier than it is: "Instead, people should have simply shopped more -- like "after 9/11". OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL WTF? WTF? WTF? WTF? WTF? WTF? (Seriously, after 2 years of doing this, that's all I got, dude).
Wider Roads Touted as 'Green'. Oh! And bigger cars are better too because, um, you can potentially fit way more commuters in them than one of those tiny Toyota things. Its true. We use Slience. (patent pending)
Cold Weather is so Obviously Climate Change. Oh I see, because its cold out, you get to be all smug because your tiny brain can't conceive of something bigger than you are, that the systems that effect the entire planet might just possibly extend beyond your next pseudo hard-nosed, so called pragmatic, 'its the economy stupid', status quo, conservatism. But yeah, all that melting ice isn't going to drift southwards thereby altering the jet stream, thereby sending arctic air where it doesn't usually go.
Then again, it was -99 in the Haida Gwaii.
TransLink says ridership up because of snow. That's it! That's the way to get people out of there cars! Why didn't we think of it before?
The Province is suing Rafe Mair. For what? Being a journalist? I know you guys over at the Province don't see many, but they're those guys who have opinions and stuff, who don't simply reword Fraser Institute press releases.
Berner: "BC Hydro hires a "Fairness" watchdog and then fires the man when he points out that something the corp is doing isn't fair".
Price Tags: Revising the Revisions. That looks awesome! I can totally picture myself zooming around in there. Is it too late to do that?
Bad Clams. Unfortunately its a rather well thought out post about Arthur Eriksons legacy and Robson Square and not about something that I could make fun of. Oh well, there's always next time.
Stairs to Nowhere. I like Springfield's better, but we do have a superior monorail.
Culturally Modified Trees of Stanley Park. I wonder what it looks like when we culturally modify trees? Oh yeah, paper.
Name that Vancouver restaurant.... This could be fun. But then again, I have a pretty distorted view of what fun is. My idea of fun is faking seizures on Howe Street to get stock tips.
